Classify Two Dimensional Figures
- Grade 5 MathStudents should already be familiar with the idea that different two dimensional figures may share one or more attributes. For example, rectangles and squares both have 4 sides and 4 right angles. In Classify Two Dimensional Figures Worksheet, they extend this idea to group two dimensional shapes into categories and sub-categories. For example, rectangles and squares both are parallelograms as they have parallel opposite sides. It is also important to take note of the hierarchy, e.g. all rectangles are parallelograms but all parallelograms are not rectangles.
