Trace Confidently

To trace the letter C, show your kids the picture of a cat and ask them to trace the outline of the cat with their fingers and then the outline of the letter C.

This helps them practice the various shapes associated with the alphabet and the object and allows them to read into the details. Whether there are curves, lines, or smooth and rough edges on the image, learning to draw out these shapes helps kids build confidence and molds their drawing and creative abilities in the long run.

To make it challenging and fun, read out words that start with the letter ‘k’ and the letter ‘c’ and ask kids to identify which starts with which - and for those that begin with C, get them to write down the letter C. This helps them put in some practice tries as they write down ‘C’ again and again.
Continuous writing helps kids memorize the alphabet better, associate it with the objects that begin with such letters and recognize its sound and pronunciation.
