The objective of Task 2 is to find the total amount of a given collection of coins of the same type using skip counting. In Task 4, students find the total amount by starting from the greatest value coin or bill in order to ease calculation. The Exit Slip is designed to assess student understanding by asking them to find the total amount for given collections of coins and bills.

Task 3 focuses on finding the total value of a given collection of bills that are all the same type using skip counting. Task 4, on the other hand, requires students to find the total value of a given collection of different coins or bills by counting from the greatest value to ease calculation. Examples for Task 5 include determining if there is enough money to buy items such as a die, disposable cup, clock, or cell phone.

The Let's Rewind section provides a summary of the highlights of the class and discusses the mathematical ideas developed in the tasks. Speak Up! encourages student participation by giving them 60 seconds to speak about their learning from the lesson and providing questions and strategies to prompt discussion.
